In 1996, Millennium Construction (Pty) Ltd was incorporated by James Lobban and Andrew Muller who had previously been a Director and a Senior Engineer (respectively) with Trescon (Pty) Ltd, a large construction company operating in the Gauteng area during the 1970 to 1990’s.

When Andy Muller decided to seek his fortune in Australia in 2000, Brett White (who had previously been with Derek Meyer Construction as a Project Manager) joined the company as Operations Director.

In 2004 it was decided for operational reasons to expand the shareholding of the Company. As a consequence, Millennium Construction Gauteng (Pty) Ltd was incorporated in which Brett held a 49% share and Millennium Construction (Pty) Ltd held the balance.

In 2017 it was decided to restructure the group of companies to streamline operations. Millennium Construction (Pty) Ltd sold the controlling shares of Millennium Construction Gauteng (Pty) Ltd to Brett White and Millennium Construction Projects (Pty) Ltd was created in order to recognise the invaluable service many of the long-standing employees have given to the group over the years. This company has 51% black ownership split between a trust held by these employees and Hendrik Kuane (previously a construction supervisor with Millennium Construction Gauteng (Pty) Ltd). The remaining 49% share is split between Brett White, Millennium Construction (Pty) Ltd and Justin Lobban.
